Up to now, Tyros5 users have not been able to load and use the original Jazz Scat voices expansion pack. The new approach to expansion pack development and use is embodied in the Yamaha Expansion Manager, or “YEM” for short. With the Tyros5, Yamaha took a different direction and format for expansion packs. Copy the Expansion Installation file (which is the.ppi file) into the root folder of your USB storage device. This option will load the entire contents of an individual pack directly into your arranger workstation following these easy steps. We will start with the “Direct Load” option using the.ppi file.
